Arrive 15 minutes early for your session.
Color and skin tones: Be aware that some colors look better on you. Get some help to decide what colors look best on you.

Glasses: Lens glare is nearly impossible to avoid. It is best to have an empty pair of frames similar to your own.
Blemishes, scares, and braces: There is an extra charge to removing these areas.

FAMILY PORTRAITS:

Couple or Engagement Portraits:
Solid dark coloring, long sleeves generally works best for the"Classic look". For "Contemporary looks" light color clothing. It is important for you to decide what "look" you want to achieve. If he wears a dark blue suit and she wears a brown dress, it would be better for the 2 colors to blend together. Not that you have to look like twins but the same "color family" for clothing is the best.

Large Family Groups:
It is very important that you pay attention to clothing style and color. It doesn't have to be expensive clothing. A common outfit trend is that all family members wear blue jeans with denim shirts or colored sweaters; or khaki pants with solid color white shirt, denim shirts or,any color sweaters .

CHILDREN:
Solid color clothing works best for children too. It you have a "special outfit" (Easter, Christmas, First Communion or dance) it is best to consult with us as to the style and what back drops, and props would go best with the outfit.

INFANTS:
"Mom and baby in white"- We have white gowns for mom but you will need to bring white or light pastel outfit for your baby.
"Relationship Portraiture-"Black and White with Dad or Mom: Dad or Mom or both need to wear dark/black,brown or blue shirt. Babies often wear their "birthday suits".

HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS:

Solid dark coloring, long sleeves generally works best for the"Classic look". For "Contemporary looks" light color clothing. It is important for you to decide what "look" you want to achieve. It is best if the clothing you choose has no printing on the front.

For the Guys:
Close shave, clean hands and for some of portraits your feet might be in the picture so make sure you have the shoes and belts that you want.

For the Ladies:
Tank tops and strapless or off the shoulder dresses are great however they draw attention to the figure and sometimes give the illusion of unwanted pounds. Wear normal make up or just a slight more. Be careful about mascara so it doesn't get clumpy. Translucent powder especially for oily skin. Clear lip gloss is "a good thing". Have your nails done- the best would be in neutral colors. Be careful about tan lines but don't get burnt in the process to get rid of them before your session. Pay attention to details-shoes, belts. Jewelry-less is best.

PET TIPS:
Be careful on feeding your animal too much before the photo session at the studio. Even though we try very hard to help them feel at ease...They still might get a little nervous. I guess they think we are the veterinarian. We will provide treats after the session.
