Fine Art: Artist’s Statement
Experiencing nature provides a visual meditation that nourishes the mind and soul, whereas one can be comforted by the natural wonders of colors, form and detail. Creating photographic images to soothe, transform, and renew
through focusing on natural subjects, is an integral part of Ms. Doane’s photographic art.
Her quest is to present images that restore a link to nature.

Biography
Ms. Doane has worked as a studio and freelance photographer for 27 years. Her images have won awards at the local and national level. She has assisted in photographic workshops directed by renowned author/photographer Bill Thomas; she has also led a photographic workshop to Alaska organized by Bill Thomas. She has presented media shows at the national level to the Sierra Club as well as to local schools. She has been a teacher in Wisconsin and a counselor for adolescents in crisis centers. For 25 years, Ms. Doane’s love for horses has lead her to have strong ties within the Thoroughbred racing industry.
